… the logs are debarked. Each log is then measured in a 3D scanner. This scanner records all the geometric data relevant for invoicing the timber supplier. Finally, each log is manually assessed by an employee and assigned to a quality class. The geometric data from the scanner and the employee’s quality classification form the basis for invoicing the timber supplier. To ensure fair invoicing, the scanner data and images of each log are documented. The timber supplier can access this information transparently via our TIM supplier portal.
