Inauguration of the
pellet plant and CHP plant
On 18 September 2026, THEURL, together with around 110 guests, officially inaugurated the new pellet plant and the combined heat and power (CHP) plant at the Assling site.
Following a review of the approximately two-year construction period by managing directors Stefan and Hannes Theurl, the new facilities were blessed by Reverend Christian Breunig. The management and junior managers then symbolically launched the pellet bagging process. During guided tours of the facility, guests were given an insight into the new plants before the evening drew to a close with a dinner together at the Bärenstadl.
With the pellet plant and the CHP unit, by-products from timber processing are recycled directly on-site and used to produce pellets, electricity and heat.
