What you can expect from the electrical engineering apprenticeship

With an electrical engineering apprenticeship, you will become a specialist in electrical and electronic systems as well as instrumentation and control technology. This includes:

  • Specialist knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics and control technology
  • The development and application of electronic components and circuits.
  • Planning, programming, installing and repairing electrical devices and production systems.
  • Monitoring and preventive maintenance so that nothing stands in the way of trouble-free operation.

  • Training duration: 3.5 – 4 years
  • Specialisation:
    2 years basic module in electrical engineering
    1.5 years main module in plant and operating technology
    0.5 years in automation and process control engineering
  • Vocational school: Tyrolean vocational school for electrical engineering, communication and electronics in Innsbruck
  • Apprentice salary:
    1st year of apprenticeship € 934.04 net,
    2nd year of apprenticeship € 1342.49 net,
    3rd year of apprenticeship € 1702.57 net,
    4th year of apprenticeship € 1842.10 net
    From the age of 18, you automatically earn the apprentice income of the 3rd year of apprenticeship.
