Steinblock Climbing Hall, Imst

Commercial construction, Tyrol

Bouldering is booming. Our joinery service centre has realised a challenging project and also ventured a look into the vertical. A new bouldering wall was constructed and our joinery team was able to enjoy this sporting endeavour. The 1,750 individual parts for the substructure of the entire bouldering area were prefabricated with precision. We are pleased to be able to introduce you to this somewhat different type of joinery work.

The shape modelled on nature

As the second bouldering centre after Rankweil, the Steinblock company has now also built a visionary, modern hall in Imst. Construction of the Steinblock bouldering hall in Imst began in March 2017 and the hall was officially opened on 1 July 2017.

THEURL made a significant contribution to the prefabrication of the timber construction elements with 50 m³ of glulam. After a construction period of just 3 months, sports enthusiasts now have a climbing area of around 760 m² at their disposal, including 119 m² in the beginners’ and children’s area, 73 m² in the boulder grotto and 68 m² in the training area.
