The APEC Summit

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum that was founded in 1989. The aim of the 21 member states is to ensure the safe and free exchange of goods, services, investments and people across borders. In 2025, the APEC summit took place from 31 October to 1 November in South Korea.

THEURL in Korea

A conference hall and a banqueting hall were built especially for this major event. Around 400 m³ of glulam was supplied by THEURL to its long-standing partner Supia Construction. The project was made possible by the special fire protection certification of THEURL products on the Korean market. The building was completed in time for the summit and is an impressive example of how efficient, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing modern construction with wood can be. At the same time, it demonstrates the versatility and efficiency of glulam.
