The resort is located in the centre of an idyllic park directly on Lake Constance. On more than 40,000 square metres, guests can expect medical care, 118 fantastic rooms and suites, excellent cuisine and an exceptional wellness and spa area with a pool landscape that merges seamlessly into the park.

Numerous advantages make
timber a favourable building material

Timber offers many benefits as a building material that were decisive for the health centre. It creates a healthy indoor climate, reduces energy consumption thanks to its bulk density and thus lowers operating costs. The natural breathability and moisture-regulating properties of wood promote the health of guests during their stay. In summer, wood provides pleasant cooling, even at high outside temperatures. In winter, it keeps one warm thanks to its ideal thermal conductivity.

For a project of this size with 3,247 m³ of CLTPLUS solid timber panels, the timber construction system offers decisive advantages. The elements were produced and processed in the factory and assembled directly on the construction site by Holzbau Willi Mayer. In total, more than 1,420 project-related solid timber components processed on CNC machines were installed, with the underside of the ceiling being realised in residential quality.

A special solution for ceiling elements in visual quality

A special solution from THEURL was chosen to protect the visible-quality ceiling elements from moisture during the construction phase. A self-adhesive membrane was applied over the entire surface at the factory, providing effective moisture protection and preserving the visual quality of the living space.
