Sustainable learning and living space for the future

The Hollabrunn school building sets new standards thanks to its sustainability and functionality.

In 2024, a modern education centre was built in the school town, which combines an extended primary school, a special school, a music school, a large sports hall and joint afternoon care under one roof. The new educational campus is not just a place of learning, but rather a lively centre that connects the community through education, culture and sport. In addition, the CLTPLUS solid wood elements used for the walls, ceiling and roof create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ecological and sustainable construction with wood creates a comfortable indoor climate for the pupils, which promotes learning and well-being.

"Wood creates a
comfortable indoor climate"

“During the planning phase, we placed particular emphasis on an open-plan design in a sustainable construction method. Wood as a building material creates a pleasant indoor climate. By connecting it to the Stadtsaal, we now have a compact, coherent solution that can also be extended at any time at low cost.”

Precision and protection

THEURL supplied over 3,400 m³ of CLTPLUS for this impressive project.

The individual solid wood panels were processed in the joinery service centre with deep-hole drilling and a large number of drill holes. All ceiling elements also received a factory-applied moisture protection film. This allowed the components to be protected from the rain during the construction phase.
