Vis-à-Vis

Housing, Vienna

In the Village urban development area in Vienna’s 3rd district, the Vis-à-Vis, a scaleable, climate-neutral residential and commercial building made of timber, is currently being realised as a participative project. Its main aim is to show how climate protection measures and multi-storey affordable housing can be reconciled. The Vis-à-Vis can and should be a showcase project for many other urban and social housing projects. The overall concept covers the entire life cycle from planning and design, construction and use through to dismantling.

In addition, over 159 m³ of glulam was joined in the joinery service centre and delivered directly to Holzbau Weissenseer.
